What we corrected.

Everything we said wrong and what we did about it. 57 entries, the oldest from 2026-08-28. A record's verification date tracks the monthly review rather than a single fix, so the fixes live here.

What lands here

A change after which the site says something DIFFERENT from what it said, not a plain addition. Adding a source to a record is not a correction; changing an owner, an amount, or an assessment of schedule, cost or scope is. 35 of 57 name a specific record, the rest concern the way the site presented its figures.

  1. the site as a wholeerror in the record datacaught by: the source review
    Was
    Eight cards gave nine dates that their source does not state as a fact or as a deadline: completion of the Michelin plant investments in Olsztyn (1999, our arithmetic from a three-year programme started in 1996), of the P1 platform (2018, on an announcement of a pilot), of the Szczecin water treatment plants (2010, a deadline from an annex) and of the Warsaw – Łódź line (2018, on a plan); the current deadline of Aegis Ashore and HIMARS (2024, on sentences about an opening and a delivery) and of Rail Baltica (2030, an average of two sources); and both deadlines of the Zwartowo solar farm (September 2022, on a sentence about its opening).
    Is now
    These cards no longer give those dates. The Zwartowo farm is no longer assessed as delivered on time, and Rail Baltica no longer shows a number of months of delay, because the two dates it was computed from are gone.
    What settled it
    A date on a card has to rest on a sentence that states it. A plan, an opening, a delivery or our own arithmetic is not the same as completion or a current deadline.

  2. Completion and expansion of Warsaw metro line II (eastern-northern and western sections)error in the record datacaught by: the source review

    The M2 metro card named the investor as the City of Warsaw on a bare name that appears neither on the page nor in its archive copy.
    Is now
    Investor: Metro Warszawskie, on the sentence that Metro Warszawskie, as the investor, has two more months to accept the works.
    What settled it
    The source names the company Metro Warszawskie as the investor.

    On 180 cards the source list printed sentences about the contractor or the place of production under the label “Domestic share”, although the card shows the domestic share in no row.
    Is now
    The source list no longer prints them. The claims stay in /api/evidence.json, and the share band in the API field.
    What settled it
    The domestic share band is our estimate from the contractor’s name, and a receipt on the source list is meant to attest what the card shows.

    On 15 cards 17 values (15 dates and two statuses) rested on a sentence about another event or on no event at all, and 45 quotes were a bare date, amount or name taken out of a sentence or a table.
    Is now
    Those values rest on a sentence from the page that states the event, and the short quotes carry the whole sentence or the label from the table row.
    What settled it
    A bare number does not say what it refers to, and a date or status without its event does not attest the label it stands under on the card.

    Was
    Next to the cost, 171 cards said “<year> prices”, and the source list printed under “Cost” a sentence about the date of the contract, the opening or the figure itself (e.g. that the factory opened on 20 November 2007). The home page counted these records as having “a stated price year”.
    Is now
    A price year stands only on the Oder 2006 programme, whose source gives 2001 prices. The other cards say “data from <year>”, and the share of GDP uses the year the figure comes from, or for an amount converted from a foreign currency the year of the exchange rate; for 163 of the 171 records that is the same year as before.
    What settled it
    A price year is the year in whose prices an amount is expressed. The sources did not give one, and we had been filling in a date from the same sentence.

    Was
    171 quotes could not be found on their page character for character: 58 differed in a quotation mark, an apostrophe or a capital letter, and 113 were stitched together with an ellipsis from fragments of the same page. For Dolna Odra the stitching suggested that PLN 1.52 billion was part of PLN 4.73 billion, while the source counts it against the PLN 3.7 billion construction contract.
    Is now
    The quotes follow the page: one continuous fragment or separate fragments, each appearing once. 29 were withdrawn because the fragment carrying the field is not on the page or appears several times; 24 fields got a new sentence from the record’s sources, and four values were removed (the FlyEye stage, the GAZ-SYSTEM programme’s domestic share and two National Road Fund funding sources).
    What settled it
    A quote has to be findable on the page character for character. An ellipsis made it possible to stitch together a sentence the source did not write.

    On 27 cards “Construction start” rested on a sentence about another event (an equipment delivery, a concession, a company’s founding, the choice of a contractor, a programme’s adoption, the first cargo handled, a foundation-stone ceremony while works were already under way), on a plan, or on a record that does not appear on the page.
    Is now
    These cards give no construction start. On more than ten others the date rests on a sentence with the event label from the page (e.g. “Rozpoczęcie budowy 31 marca 1982”), and Bałtyk 2 and 3 on Polenergia’s sentence that the investment decision starts the construction phase.
    What settled it
    Construction start is the start of works or delivery. A delivery, a concession or a programme’s adoption are other events, and a plan does not say what happened.

    Under the status or stage of six cards stood sentences about an earlier state, e.g. that the visbreaking unit was still being built next to a status of completed, or that construction was under way at an airport in commissioning.

    A sentence about the state of things months ago does not attest what the card shows today.

  9. Saule Technologies (commercialization of perovskite solar cells)error in the record datacaught by: the source review

    Under the status “cancelled”, the Saule Technologies card quoted sentences about the shares being delisted and the company being on the brink of bankruptcy.
    Is now
    The status rests on the enerad.pl sentence that the new management closed the factory and is preparing to sell the company.
    What settled it
    The state of a company and its shares is not the fate of the project.

    Start: 2003, on the sentence about the programme’s tasks carried out in 2003–2020.

    Approving a programme is not the start of delivery, and that day already stands under the announcement.

    The card for the e-Podatki / e-Deklaracje (e-Taxes / e-Declarations) programme said “Announced 2007”.

    The card gives no announcement date for the programme.
    What settled it
    2007 rested on a sentence in the Ministry of Digital Affairs summary giving the combined value of seven IT projects carried out by the Ministry of Finance in 2007–2015. That is the implementation period, not an announcement, and none of the record’s sources says when the programme was announced, so we do not guess the date.

    The pl.ID programme card said “Announced 2008” and “Construction start 2009”.
    Is now
    The card says “Construction start 2008” and gives no announcement date.
    What settled it
    Both dates rested on one Spider’s Web sentence saying the interior and regional development ministries concluded an agreement in 2008–2009. The sentence is about an agreement, not an announcement or the start of work, and we picked the years from that range ourselves. The start year comes from an interior ministry statement describing the e-ID as the continuation of the failed pl.ID project launched in 2008. None of the record’s sources gives an announcement date.

  16. New District Hospital in Nysa (outside the flood zone)error in the record datacaught by: the source review
    Was
    The card for the new hospital in Nysa gave the investor as “Powiat Nyski (Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej w Nysie); dofinansowanie: Ministerstwo Zdrowia”.
    Is now
    The card gives the investor as “Powiat Nyski; dofinansowanie: Ministerstwo Zdrowia”.
    What settled it
    The record’s sources mention the Nysa health-care unit (Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej) only as the existing hospital, whose main building the flood damaged, and none names it as the investor in the new hospital, so we removed that part. The county as investor rests on an Alert Medyczny sentence, and the Ministry of Health’s share on the county office’s statement that the ministry secured 500 million złoty for rebuilding the hospital in a new location.

    Next to the investor the card said “state-owned enterprise” for subsidiaries (Elektrownia Ostrołęka, ORLEN Group companies) and for listed companies with a state stake (KGHM) alike, and “ministry” for GDDKiA, medical universities and museums.
    Is now
    The labels are “state-controlled company” and “state institution”.
    What settled it
    The Polish label, “spółka Skarbu Państwa”, was false for subsidiaries, where the State Treasury holds no shares (the parent does), and misleading for listed companies, where it holds only part of them; the English label changed with it. “Ministry” described only part of the institutions under it.

    Institutions that are not companies (RZGW Wrocław, NCBJ, NIO, NASK, Polish Waters, the Białystok university hospital, and GDDKiA on one card) were typed as state-owned enterprises, and so were the municipal and metropolitan companies (the Warsaw metro and tram companies, Tramwaje Śląskie).
    Is now
    The institutions on that list are state institutions, and municipal and metropolitan companies are labelled “local government”.
    What settled it
    None of them is a company owned by the State Treasury: they are research institutes, Polish Waters and its regional boards, a university hospital and GDDKiA, while the metro and tram companies belong to a city or to the metropolitan union.

    On the source list, field chips (e.g. “Construction start”, “Status”, “Cost”) also stood on sources with no confirmed quote under that field; the chip came from a declaration, not a quote. On 16 cards quotes also stood under “Utilisation” and “Budget” (alone or next to other fields), although the card drew no such row (e.g. “Utilisation” above Intel’s sentence about abandoning the plant).
    Is now
    A chip appears only above a confirmed quote from that source and carries the quote’s label. A quote under an outcome axis appears on the source list only for an axis the card shows.
    What settled it
    A chip reads as a receipt. Without a quote the card said a source attested something it could not show, and a quote under an axis with no row attested an assessment the card does not make.

    The row “Scope: as announced” stood on 48 cards, among them on sentences that described the delivered scope (“the solar farm has a capacity of 204 MWp”), a cost, a plan (“the barrier will be over 186 km long”), or were an article headline (“Grand opening of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw”).
    Is now
    The row stands on six cards, on sentences about the whole, about everything that was planned, or about the last section opened (among them MikroSAR, DK18, metro line M1). It is gone from the other 42.
    What settled it
    Matching the announcement is a comparison, and none of those sentences makes it; by showing the row we were drawing the conclusion for the source.

    On 41 cards the source list printed, under the label “Losses” (alone or next to other fields), a sentence meant to attest that no losses were known, although it was about something else: the operator of the National Stadium, the European Commission approving state aid for Intel, contractual penalties at the Museum of Modern Art.

    None of those sentences stands under “Losses”. The card did not show a losses row when nothing was established, and it still does not.
    What settled it
    The absence of findings about losses is not a claim one sentence can confirm, and none of those sentences said there were no losses.

    The card for the new Museum of Modern Art building gave “Original date 2024” and a slip of “under a year”, although the same description cites the Supreme Audit Office’s finding of years of delay.

    The card gives no original date and no slip.
    What settled it
    The original and current dates rested on the same sentence from um.warszawa.pl (“will be ready in the second half of 2024”), so the card gave the current date as the original one. The date in the general contractor’s contract, 28 August 2022, is in the Supreme Audit Office statement linked from one of the record’s sources; the record does not store it yet.

    The card for the Intel plant near Wrocław gave “Original date 2027”.
    Is now
    The card gives no date for the plant to start operating.
    What settled it
    The year 2027 came from a sentence about demand Intel expected by 2027, not about when the plant would start; no source in the record gives such a date.

    Was
    The National Stadium card gave the investor as “State Treasury (operator: PL.2012+ sp. z o.o.)”, a cost marked “2013 prices” resting only on Wikipedia, and under the location a quote that was a leftover of fetching the page rather than its text.
    Is now
    Investor: Narodowe Centrum Sportu sp. z o.o., with PL.2012+ as operator since 2013. The cost is marked “data from 2013” and also rests on PortalSamorzadowy.pl. The location quote is the address as Wikipedia gives it.
    What settled it
    The investor was Narodowe Centrum Sportu, a company set up for that purpose (the venue’s own site). 2013 is the date of the figure, not a price base: PLN 1,976 million is spending across several years.

    The Malczyce barrage card said “funding: state budget (public funds)” and “2018 prices”, and called the investor, RZGW Wrocław, a state-owned enterprise.
    Is now
    Funding: the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management and the state budget (including the Interior Ministry and the Odra 2016 programme). The cost is marked “data from 2018”, and the investor is a state institution.
    What settled it
    The record’s own source says that of PLN 990.992 million spent by June 2018, PLN 735.610 million came from the National Fund and PLN 22.586 million directly from the state budget. The figure of over PLN 1.1 billion is a nominal sum over 1997–2018, not an amount in one year’s prices.

    Under losses the Izera card quoted a conditional statement by the ElectroMobility Poland vice-president made before the project was closed. Next to the cost it said “net or gross: not recorded”, although the quote under the amount says “net”, and the status rested only on Wikipedia.
    Is now
    The loss rests on the sentence about over PLN 580 million spent in 2018–2023, the cost is marked net, and Interia also confirms the status.
    What settled it
    A conditional sentence says what would happen, not what happened; the amount spent comes from another source in the record. The word “net” was in the quote all along; we had simply not recorded the VAT basis.

    The card for the second nuclear power plant quoted four sentences attributed to Energetyka24 that do not appear on the page in that wording, and under the Polish page of the Ministry of Energy it showed an English translation.
    Is now
    The quotes follow the pages’ own wording, for example “Resort wskazał cztery preferowane lokalizacje: Bełchatów, Konin, Kozienice i Połaniec.”
    What settled it
    The stored sentences summarised the article rather than reproducing it, and one added a comparison with the 2020 programme update that the article does not make. A quote has to be verbatim so that a reader can find it on the page.

  31. Reconstruction of the runway and taxiways at Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport (CEF Military Mobility)error in the record datacaught by: the source review
    Was
    The card for the runway and taxiway rebuild at Jasionka said “Construction start Apr 2025” with the stage “construction”, and its change history showed a “stage: construction” event dated April 2025.
    Is now
    The card gives no construction start. The stage is commissioning: the main taxiway works are finished, and system tests and preparations for technical acceptance are under way (August 2026).
    What settled it
    April 2025 rested on a sentence from the airport’s release announcing the Strabag contract (“the investment will be carried out from April 2025 to mid-September 2026”), which is a plan. The airport’s release of 23 October 2025 says the runway works began on 12 June 2025, but no source says when the taxiway works began, so we do not guess the date. The stage now follows TransInfo’s report of 4 August 2026.

    The Olsztyn tram network card said “Construction start 1 Mar 2012”.
    Is now
    Construction start: 12 September 2012.
    What settled it
    Construction began formally on 1 March 2012. The same Wikipedia quote says the works on the network actually began on 12 September 2012, and that is the date the “Construction start” row now shows.

  33. Northvolt battery systems plant in Gdańsk (Northvolt Dwa)error in the record datacaught by: the review panel
    Was
    The Gdańsk battery factory card said “Delivery 22 Nov 2024”, and its history showed a “cancelled” event on that day.
    Is now
    Delivery: May 2023. The event of 22 November 2024 is a production pause; the plant runs today under a new owner.
    What settled it
    On 22 November 2024 Northvolt announced the end of its operations in Gdańsk; that is a closure date, not a delivery date. The plant was put into service in May 2023 (green-news.pl), which gdansk.pl and Lyten also confirm.

  34. Lubiatowo-Kopalino Nuclear Power Plant (EJ1)error in the record datacaught by: the source review

    The card of the first nuclear power plant said “Construction start Sep 2023”.
    Is now
    The card gives no construction start; the plant is at the permits stage (the construction permit application was filed on 31 March 2026).
    What settled it
    The date rested on the signing of the engineering services contract with Westinghouse and Bechtel, which is not the start of construction.

  35. Central Communication Port Programme (CPK Multi-Year Programme 2024–2032)error in the record datacaught by: the review panel
    Was
    The CPK programme card said “Construction start 12 Sep 2018”, and rested its “construction” stage on sentences about works still to begin. The Y line card (kdp-y) gave a start in August 2025.
    Is now
    Neither card gives a start date. The construction stage rests on sentences about ongoing works on the high-speed rail tunnel in Łódź (Ministry of Infrastructure, November 2024; launch chamber completed in 2025).
    What settled it
    12 September 2018 is when the special-purpose company was set up, and August 2025 is when the site was handed to the boring contractor, with the chamber already built. Neither date is the start of construction, and the records do not yet hold a source that dates it.

    Was
    The outcome label and the marker next to a loss amount said “audit or prosecutor claim” and “(claimed)”, also for Radom airport, where the prosecutor runs an investigation into the matter and nobody has been charged.
    Is now
    The label says “audit finding or investigation”, and the marker next to the amount says “(named by an audit or under investigation)”; the tooltip adds that the label alone does not say whether anyone has been charged.
    What settled it
    In Polish the word used (“zarzut”) means a formal charge against a person, not an audit finding or an investigation into a matter. Judges of the fourteenth panel read it next to Radom as the kind of sentence that gets a lawyer on the phone. In the same pass we corrected the wording of an older entry in this register that used the same word to describe a past error.

    Was
    The “under way now” counter (87) included announcements with a deadline by 2026, and the “under construction” badge also appeared on tenders, permits and bare announcements.
    Is now
    The counter (85) counts only records at the construction or commissioning stage. The badge takes its word from the stage: “under construction”, “in preparation”, “operating, being expanded”, or “in progress” when no stage is recorded.
    What settled it
    The “in progress” status says the investment is under way, not that anyone is digging. Among the 116 such records are announcements, permits and tenders, so the word “construction” claimed something the sources do not say.

    The home page said “~5% of the whole database (21 of 383)” did not work out, and among its five failure examples showed the post-Northvolt factory, which is not on the “Failed” list. Cards of cancelled records called the cancellation date “Delivery”.
    Is now
    The rate is computed over current records that are completed or stopped (14 of 79, about 18%), next to the delays and overruns from the axes shown on cards. The failure examples include the paused cross-city tunnel in Łódź, Żarnowiec (1982–1990) sits among the landmarks, and cancelled and superseded cards say “Ended”.
    What settled it
    The denominator included records under construction or planned, which had not yet had the chance to fail, and landmarks picked from among those still standing. Each of the new figures has a recipe in /api/statystyki.json.

    Was
    The “Digital” pill covered only six commercial data centres. Eleven state systems, registers and networks sat under “Other”, the P1 platform under Health, and Cyberbezpieczny Samorząd under Defence. The M2 metro line sat under “Other”. Eight waste-to-energy plants stood on the Energy domain page while their own card said “Other”.
    Is now
    A new category, “Digital state”, belongs to the Digital domain (19 records, including CEPiK and P1), the M2 metro line is under Transport, and the waste-to-energy plants carry the same domain on the card, in the catalogue and in the press kit.
    What settled it
    Two judges of the thirteenth panel noticed that the Digital domain was empty exactly where state registers should be. Along the way it turned out that the category-to-domain map had been copied into three files and one copy lacked the waste-to-energy category. There is now one map, checked automatically.

    The year 2018 rested on a 2018 GDDKiA page that itself says the last section was still to come. The verbatim audit of quotes set it against that section's own page and the report of its 2021 opening.

    The poznan-warszawa.pl domain, once PKP PLK's project site, now belongs to a site carrying betting links. Claims resting on it are marked unsupported, and the fields that stood on it now rest on Rynek Kolejowy and Kolejowy Portal.

    The commit hash stands as plain text, and the note says plainly that the repository is private and the hash will not open.
    What settled it
    All ten links pointed at github.com/kgluszczyk/megalo, and that repository is private, so every one of them returned a 404 to the reader. We built a promise of verifiability on something the reader cannot verify, on the one page in the service whose job is to earn trust. The hash stays as an identifier for correspondence: you can quote it in a message and get an answer, which a link to a 404 cannot do. The gate now asks every outgoing link on that page for its status code, and separately checks that the note promises no hash you can open.

    The “Since when” column gives the earliest year the record holds, with a cost column beside it. “no date” is down to 2 rows out of 21.
    What settled it
    The column took the catalogue feed's “opening year”, and that field is empty by construction for anything cancelled or superseded: a project that never started has no opening year. On a page whose whole purpose is to list cancelled projects, that was 18 rows out of 21. The field was not lost, then, but chosen so that on this one page it could never fill. The records carried some date for 19 of 21 and a cost for 12 of 21 throughout, which left Olefiny III, the largest cancelled investment in the database, looking like a trifle with no date and no amount. The data holds no date of failure itself and we do not invent one, so the tooltip says which field the year comes from. The first version of this fix read only two fields and still printed “no date” when both were empty, even where the record's timeline held events from 2024 and 2025; the current one takes the earliest year across everything the record records. The gate's threshold is computed from the API, not picked by hand.

    Two claims quoted a sentence cut off after the first of five names: “The first spade […] was broken by prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki”.

    The quote carries the full list, as the source recorded it, and the retrieval date is the day we checked it again.
    What settled it
    The excerpt was faithful character for character, but the verb stayed plural, so the sentence read as though the prime minister had broken ground alone. The deputy Senate marshal, the MP, the government plenipotentiary for CPK and the head of PPL vanished from it. A judge on the eighth panel pointed this out, and a second judge went further and called the quote fabricated. It was not fabricated, and that is the worst of it: a truncated list looks like fabrication from the outside, and a quote is the only currency this service has. This record is the worked example in llms.txt and on /developers, so it is the one that shows how we handle a quote. The gate now catches a Polish plural verb followed by exactly one name and the end of the sentence.

    What settled it
    The record's loss is USD 500 mn from around 1990. We converted it at the site's fixed rate to PLN 2 bn and showed it next to a 2025 write-off, saying neither that it was a conversion nor from which year. While fixing that, we appended the source's currency code to the converted amount, so the card began printing “PLN 2.0 bn lost USD”: four times the documented figure, in the wrong units. That version was live in production. The record itself stated USD 500 mn correctly throughout; the error was in the catalogue card.

    The only quote under that axis was a GDDKiA statement in the future tense: the sections “will certainly be built before UEFA EURO 2012 starts”. A promise that something will be built ahead of a date is not a settlement that it was. The record has no planned date either, so there was nothing to compare against.

    Six others turned out to be faithful: the source itself writes without diacritics, so “fixing” them would have falsified the quotation. That is why we touch nothing we cannot confirm at the source.
