Baltica 3 is the second phase of the Baltica offshore wind farm in the Polish Baltic, with a planned capacity of approx. 1045 MW, implemented by the PGE Baltica company as part of a joint venture of PGE and Ørsted (50 percent each). The farm is to be built in the part of the Baltic between Łeba and Ustka, at least 25 km from the shore. The project holds a location decision, an environmental decision and permits for connection infrastructure, but a final investment decision (FID) has not been taken for it. Commissioning was originally planned for 2026. In October 2025 PGE Baltica said the project had been suspended at one point and was undergoing deep economic optimisation, and that the company would like to return to the contracting phase as soon as possible. In May 2026 Ørsted confirmed that Baltica 3 was still in the optimisation phase and that further decisions on the project's future depend on market, regulatory and investor conditions. Baltica 3, as the second phase of the Baltica complex (together with Baltica 2, approx. 2.5 GW), is to add approx. 1045 MW of installed capacity in offshore wind energy, supporting Poland's energy transition and the diversification of generation sources in the Baltic. Separating the investment decision from Baltica 2 shifted this phase in time relative to the original plans, and after the project was suspended and put through economic optimisation its schedule remains unresolved.
