S1 Węgierska Górka bypass (Przybędza – Milówka)
A mountain section of the S1 expressway, 8.5 km long, bypassing Węgierska Górka on the Przybędza–Milówka route in the Beskidy Mountains. The project comprised two twin-bore road tunnels with a combined length of approx. 1.8 km (approx. 830 m through the Barania Góra massif and approx. 1,000 m through Białożyński Groń), five viaducts and three bridges, as well as the Przybędza and Milówka interchanges. The section closed the last gap in the S1 corridor toward the border with Slovakia and was opened to traffic in October 2025.

Significance
The section closes the last gap in the S1 expressway in the Beskidy Mountains along the route toward the border crossing with Slovakia, diverting transit traffic away from the centre of Węgierska Górka. The former national road DK1 on this section loses its national-road status and passes to the administration of Śląskie Voivodeship, relieving the local network. Thanks to the tunnels and viaducts, the route improves traffic flow and safety in difficult mountain terrain.
