The Enea Group's battery energy storage programme, with a combined power of 1,386 MW and more than 3,000 MWh of capacity, announced in March 2026 together with about 300 MW of photovoltaic projects. It comprises 11 standalone high-voltage storage units (580 MW), 24 medium-voltage units (242 MW), 16 hybrid units at photovoltaic farms (124 MW), an 8 MW grid storage unit and two large-scale facilities at the Kozienice (232 MW) and Połaniec (200 MW) power plants. Enea estimated the cost of the whole programme, including the photovoltaic part, at about PLN 2 billion. For battery storage alone, the company plans to spend nearly PLN 1.4 billion over the next two years. Construction of 11 photovoltaic farms with about 268 MW is financed by a Recovery and Resilience Facility (KPO) loan from BGK of more than PLN 417 million, and the grid storage unit in Debrzno-Wieś received PLN 22 million from the Modernisation Fund. In May 2026 bids were opened in a tender for the supply of components with up to 840 MWh of capacity. In September 2026 the company said the Kozienice and Połaniec projects had received corporate approvals and that selection of contractors and technology suppliers was under way. Under the schedule in the presentation of the 2025 results, 866 MW is to be built in 2027, about 80 MW in 2028 and 432 MW in 2029.

Significance
Once completed, the programme is to give the Enea Group about 1.4 GW of battery storage power, more than the target of over 1.3 GW set in the group's strategy to 2035. The company plans to use the storage to shift energy sales from cheap midday hours to more expensive evening hours. The hybrid units are to reshape the output profile of the group's photovoltaic farms.

Independence is counted the same way the gate that admits a record counts it: subdomains and titles from one publisher are a single voice, Wikipedia is zero. That is why the number is lower than the number of links. Three is the minimum.
