Camp Kościuszko – forward command post of the US Army V Corps (Poznań)
A military base in Poznań serving as the seat of the forward command post of the United States Army V Corps. The corps' forward command post has operated in Poznań since autumn 2020; during the NATO summit in Madrid in June 2022, the US President announced its conversion into a permanent (non-rotational) presence of American forces in Poland. On 30 July 2022 the base was named "Camp Kościuszko", commemorating the Polish-American hero Tadeusz Kościuszko. The first soldiers assigned to Poland on a permanent basis (under permanent change of station status) reached the base at the turn of winter 2023, and on 21 March 2023 the U.S. Army Garrison Poland (USAG Poland) was established at the complex – the first permanent garrison of American forces in Poland. It is the only command of this level deployed in Europe.

Significance
Camp Kościuszko is the first permanent military presence of the United States in Poland and the only command of this level in Europe (forward command post of the U.S. Army V Corps). Its task is to coordinate and oversee American land forces in Europe, conduct operational planning, and synchronize activities with the forces of other NATO states, making it an important element in reinforcing the Alliance's eastern flank and in guaranteeing Poland's security.
