# Projektometr

> Projektometr is a neutral, non-partisan database of Polish megaprojects (investments ≥ PLN 500 million
> or strategic). Behind every fact – cost, status, deadlines, what was built and what failed – there is
> a source link. Bilingual (Polish default, English). Nominal costs (prices from various years).

Projektometr was built to separate hard facts from the scattered noise of news and social media: what Poland
is really building, checked against sources. The goal – that the reader (and an AI assistant) can verify
for themselves, rather than trust a narrative.

## State and updates

- As of: July 2026 (oldest verification in the database 2026-07-15; every record checked on that day or later).
- Updates: monthly (re-verification of records that may have changed, plus new entries).
- Records: 383 (212 current + 171 earlier landmarks; the split is curatorial, not by date).

## Rules (methodology)

- No source → no claim. Every grounded field has a quote + URL + retrieval date; the quote is visible on the project page, while the JSON carries the URL and the date.
- Success isn't binary: six separate axes (delivery / schedule / budget / utilisation / scope / loss).
  The first four are the ones the card promises and counts; scope and loss get their own rows when a
  source documents them. All six travel in outcome_grounding on every record.
- Failures shown with the same rigour as successes.
- "Value-by-stage", NOMINAL (amounts in a foreign currency at the fixed rate EUR 4.30 / USD 4.00; some zloty
  amounts are conversions recorded at the rate of the investment year, see cost.source_amount_mln)
  – not total cost, no inflation adjustment.
- Macro data (GDP, convergence) kept SEPARATE – context, not proof.
- English text is machine-translated from the Polish source and machine-verified; the Polish record is authoritative.
